L. pneumophila labelling

Mas-Pons et al.[1] described in 2014 a new technique to specifically label via click chemistry culturable Legionella pneumophila membranes through assimilation of an azido analog of legionaminic acid precursor (Man2NAc4NAc6-N3). Legionaminic acid is an essential component of lipopolysaccharide (LPS) exclusively synthesized by L. pneumophila.
